Score breakdown

Wash Quality: 60
Build Quality: 55
Value for Money: 65

Buyers who mistakenly think this washes and dries clothes automatically will regret purchasing a washer-only unit that requires manual effort.

Should you buy this?

Buy it if: If you are a student living in a rented room on a strict budget, this 6,199 rupee washer handles daily clothes easily. It is compact and lightweight at 12 kg. However, you must remember this is a washer-only machine, meaning you will need to manually drain and squeeze out excess water yourself since there is no built-in spin dryer. If you already own a separate spin dryer or prefer hand-drying your garments, this basic 6.5 kg machine at 6,199 rupees gets the washing job done. The 780 rpm motor provides decent daily cleaning power. Just keep in mind that it lacks modern conveniences like a lint filter or wheels for easy moving around the house.
Skip it if: If you are a busy working professional or a family looking for a fully automatic machine that washes and dries clothes completely on its own, skip this. At 6,199 rupees, this Onida model is only a washer and requires manual effort. Look for a semi-automatic twin-tub or a fully automatic top-load machine instead for real convenience. If you live in a household with heavy washing needs or bulky blankets, skip this 6.5 kg washer-only unit. The polypropylene tub and basic features will not suffice, and the lack of a spin dryer means too much manual labor. Save up a bit more and invest in a proper semi-automatic washing machine with a dedicated spin tub.

How this rating was made

The score comes from one evaluation of the Flipkart specification table against today's cash price, calibrated so most consumer electronics land between 65 and 88. Affiliate partnerships never change a score, and no brand pays for placement. Where the store withholds a specification, the model is told to treat it as unknown rather than assume a good value.
