Buyers seeking strong processing power or heavy multitasking will regret paying nearly 78,000 rupees for a basic Core 5 processor housed in a partial plastic body.

Buy it if

If you are a college student who needs a lightweight daily machine for typing, browsing, and watching lectures, this works. At Rs 77,990 it is quite expensive for the processor you get, but the bright screen and 16GB RAM make daily use smooth. Just keep in mind that you will be paying a heavy brand tax for basic performance. If you want a portable office laptop with a bright 400-nit screen for working outdoors or in well-lit rooms, this fits well. The 1.63 kg weight makes it easy to slide into a backpack. However, you must accept that heavy video editing or complex coding will struggle on this 6-core processor setup.

Skip it if

If you are a gamer or heavy video editor, skip this laptop immediately. The Intel Core 5 processor and 60Hz screen are not built for modern gaming or intense rendering tasks. At Rs 77,990, you can easily find dedicated graphics laptops with much stronger processors that will handle heavy workloads without stuttering. If you are a budget-conscious buyer looking for maximum value, look elsewhere. Paying nearly 78,000 rupees for a basic IdeaPad Slim with a 512GB storage drive and plastic bottom chassis is not worth it. Look for last year's Ryzen or Intel Core i7 models that offer way more processing power for the exact same money.
