Buyers who expect a standard laptop experience for Rs 25,990 will regret this because ChromeOS limits app compatibility, and the low-resolution HD screen plus 4GB RAM feels underpowered for multitasking.

Buy it if

If you are a school student needing a simple laptop for online classes and homework, this Rs 25,990 HP Chromebook works well. The light weight makes it easy to carry, and ChromeOS is simple to use. However, you will have to compromise with a low-resolution HD touch screen and just 4GB of RAM, which limits heavy multitasking or gaming. If you are a home user who only needs a device for streaming videos, checking email, and light web browsing, this machine gets the job done. At Rs 25,990, the touch screen and 128GB storage are handy. Just keep in mind that the processor is built for basic tasks only, so it cannot handle heavy professional software or video editing.

Skip it if

If you are a college student or professional who needs to run heavy applications, coding software, or do video editing, you should skip this. The 4GB RAM and MediaTek processor cannot handle heavy workloads, and ChromeOS lacks full desktop software support. Look for a Windows laptop with at least 8GB RAM instead for better utility. If you love watching movies or editing photos, skip this because of the poor 1366 x 768 HD display and low 250 nits brightness. At Rs 25,990, you can find entry-level Windows laptops or older models offering much sharper Full HD screens and better performance for media consumption.
