Buyers who assume all modern printers have Wi-Fi will heavily regret purchasing this USB-only model when they realize they cannot print directly from their smartphones.

Should you buy this?

Buy it if: If you are a college student or a home user needing a cheap physical document solution, this ₹3,829 Canon printer works nicely for occasional assignments. You get clean text and basic scanning capabilities. However, you will have to compromise on wireless printing because it only supports a wired USB 2.0 connection, meaning you must plug it directly into a laptop. If you want an affordable backup printer for simple paperwork and occasional forms, this budget model fits tightly into casual home setups. At this low price point, it handles basic scanning and copying well. Just keep in mind that the included ink cartridges run out quickly after about 100 prints, so you will need to buy replacement cartridges sooner rather than later.
Skip it if: If you want to print documents directly from your smartphone, tablet, or multiple laptops around the house without messy cables, you should completely skip this model. Because it lacks Wi-Fi and only supports USB 2.0 connectivity, you cannot print wirelessly. Look instead for an entry-level wireless inkjet printer that supports mobile apps and network sharing. If you run a small home office or have heavy daily printing tasks like multi-page reports and dense colour graphics, do not buy this slow machine. With a crawl speed of 4.0 ipm for colour and a tiny 100-page starter yield, your workflow will stall constantly. Look for a higher-volume tank printer that offers lower running costs and faster output speeds.

How this rating was made

The score comes from one evaluation of the Amazon specification table against today's cash price, calibrated so most consumer electronics land between 65 and 88. Affiliate partnerships never change a score, and no brand pays for placement. Where the store withholds a specification, the model is told to treat it as unknown rather than assume a good value.
