Low running costs and robust features make it a reliable, long-term investment for moderate to heavy printing.
Should you buy this?
- Buy it if
- You run a busy home office or small business that requires frequent multi-page scanning, copying, and heavy daily document printing without worrying about high ink expenses. You want the convenience of wireless connectivity, mobile printing via the Brother app, and automatic double-sided printing to reduce paper wastage.
- Skip it if
- You only print a few pages every month, as ink tank nozzles can occasionally dry up or clog if the printer is left unused for long stretches of time. You are looking for a compact, ultra-cheap printer for very occasional school homework and do not need advanced office features like an ADF or auto-duplex.
Scored 20 Oct 2026 · Verify specifications and price on the store before buying.

Primary weaknesses
(3)- Initial upfront price is higher compared to basic cartridge or entry-level tank printers.

How this rating was made
The score comes from one evaluation of the Flipkart specification table against today's cash price, calibrated so most consumer electronics land between 65 and 88. Affiliate partnerships never change a score, and no brand pays for placement. Where the store withholds a specification, the model is told to treat it as unknown rather than assume a good value.
