Low running costs and reliable wireless features make this a safe long-term investment for moderate volume printing.
Should you buy this?
- Buy it if
- You run a busy home office or study from home and need to print hundreds of pages monthly without worrying about high ink expenses. The incredibly low cost per page combined with automatic duplex printing will save you both significant money and time on manual page flipping. You want seamless wireless connectivity across multiple devices including smartphones, laptops, and tablets. The support for Wi-Fi Direct and the Brother Mobile Connect app makes printing and scanning straight from your phone straightforward and completely hassle-free without dealing with cables.
- Skip it if
- You only print a couple of pages every few months. Ink tank printers require regular usage to prevent the print heads from drying out and clogging, meaning occasional users are better off sticking with standard laser printers or print shops. You require ultra-fast enterprise-level printing speeds for a large shared office with heavy daily volumes. While great for small offices, its moderate speed may create bottlenecks if multiple users are queueing large documents simultaneously.

How this rating was made
The score comes from one evaluation of the Flipkart specification table against today's cash price, calibrated so most consumer electronics land between 65 and 88. Affiliate partnerships never change a score, and no brand pays for placement. Where the store withholds a specification, the model is told to treat it as unknown rather than assume a good value.
