Music purists who expect crystal-clear instrument separation might regret the heavy, movie-focused bass from the 6.5-inch subwoofer. Buyers wanting wireless rear speakers may also dislike dealing with physical wires.

Buy it if

If you are a movie lover looking to upgrade your TV speakers on a budget of ₹9,899, this full 5.1 setup gives you genuine surround sound and heavy bass. Just keep in mind that setting up the physical surround speakers and managing their wires around your living room will take some manual effort. If you want simple, no-fuss TV audio connectivity via HDMI ARC or Optical cable, this system gets the job done without breaking the bank at ₹9,899. You do miss out on smart Wi-Fi streaming features, but standard Bluetooth 5.3 handles phone audio streaming easily.

Skip it if

If you are an audiophile who cares deeply about pristine music clarity and balanced soundstages, you should skip this ₹9,899 Amazon Basics soundbar. The heavy 6.5-inch bass driver tends to overpower mids, so look for a dedicated stereo bookshelf speaker setup or higher-end Sony and JBL soundbars instead. If you live in a rented apartment or a small room where running physical wires for surround speakers is impractical, you will find this 5.1 system frustrating. Look for a clean 2.1 channel or Dolby Atmos all-in-one soundbar that avoids trailing back speaker wires.
